Description
TeraSpan’s Vertical Inlaid Fiber (VIF) technology is based on deploying fiber-optic cable in the top layer of a city or town’s infrastructure. It ensures rapid delivery of the communication infrastructure necessary to support reliable, high-speed broad-band services for any application. A complete line of TeraSpan products designed for secure shallow deployment in both hard and soft infrastructures. The core of our system is the Vertical Deflecting Conduit (VDC). Unlike other shallow deployment systems that direct bury, thread or blow the fiber, fiber is laid into the secure VDC and “zippered” closed, allowing for continuous fiber runs with fewer splices.
